  1. Jimmy and Christine Moore do not look healthy at all. Maybe their lack of health was addressed in the podcast but I couldn’t listen to the episode knowing how they look while promoting their “healthy” diet.

    1. How do they look unhealthy? Losing hair? Wearing glasses? Unless you’re looking at a different photo, I’m seeing happy people who look like they enjoy each other.

      1. Christine looks overweight and lacking muscle tone. It is very noticeable. It is hard to say for Jimmy, but it does look like he too may be overweight.

        1. So people who look like they weigh more than you think they should are unhealthy? Does that mean every person who appears to meet your desired weight standards is healthy? You might want to rethink that attitude. Not all people who you might consider fat are unhealthy and not all people you might consider weight appropriate are healthy.

          1. Have to agree with Mike here. They objectively look unhealthy. Perhaps they have vastly improved their health from before–which is amazing!–but they don’t look objectively healthy.

          2. Obviously you missed my comment on muscle tone. It was not based strictly on appearance./ I will take muscle over flab any day.

    Thanks for inspirational Sunday Apple; yes we all can be triggered to do more, and example is a good motivator even for the self.
    I find learning about health matters is on a par with mind matters and energised intentions – a sometimes automatic symbiosis if we listen to our bodies; because that automatically includes the mind – which some people call the brain. You seem to include all aspects of being in your posts.
    That is the real challenge – because we are ‘all that’ – to integrate ‘all that’ into our ‘self’; utilising our sensing apparatus and believing what we find.

  5. I am 69, approaching 70, and in good health. But when I talk to older friends who are approaching 80, their one vcomment goes something like this: “When I went to the doctor for back pain/insomnia/arthritis, I was told to accept it because I am old. This is told to my friends by youngsters in their 30s. Aging needs to be viewed with love and respect, not a shrug of the medical shoulders. What can we do?

    1. Suggest that your friends ask their doctors what they would recommend to a 40 year old patient.

These 2 quotes and the experience of carrying the 1996 Olympic Torch, and a childhood fear of Russia inspired this wife/mom of 4 to swim to Russia. The experience was amazing. The experience inspired me to swim the Danube River for social/environmental responsibility…then on to the Drava and Mura rivers in Europe for the same. In the United States, I’ve swum the Tennessee and Ohio Rivers. These swims were basic: swimmer, kayaker (a daughter) and those who came to the river to help. There was no crew that surrounded us making us approachable…. usually inspiring, but sometimes frightening (e.g. pulling our kayak into the woods and pitching a tent in Romania).

    My daughter and I have a mother/daughter bond experienced by no other. Most of our/my river experiences are shared only between us. Perhaps because of the multitude of ways we were thrown outside out comfort zone. The day a famous Serbian artist drown while trying to swim with me to the Iron Gate dam was the day that will haunt us forever. The days that people met us at the river and brought us into their homes for food and lodging continue to inspire us.

    Kelsey and I were a team, the team. The people from the nine countries along the Danube were our support.
    There are no rivers in my future. The toxicity levels of heavy metals in my blood are high and diverse. That’s one reason why I was directed to a keto diet.

    Helen Keller and Nelson Mandela had it right! Neale Walsh too when he said, “Life begins outside your comfort zone. I live by all of those quotes. Lastly, when I die, it will be without regrets for what I “wish” I would have done. There is living and there is truly “LIVING”. We make that choice. Go after “it” and don’t listen to naysayers. My father was furious that I was swimming through Serbia. “You’ll get beheaded!” he yelled. Kelsey’s and my take? Serbia was amazing! I’ve been back twice.

    I love posting about your delicious mayo and oil alternatives to share with people. Long ago I thought I’d be in a science field, then lapidary but through my own health improvement journey I’ve come to see how many people need a helping hand with finding options and good sources of information so I’m also on the track to want to be a health coach. I get so tired of all the brands that get bought out by greedy conglomerates so I’ve found Young Living. I love them and the mission of their business to do things the right way from land to people. I’m hooked and wish they made ALL the products already. Please make sure your products never start using inferior ingredients since I remember your brand was getting bought out.

    I still miss having the opportunity to talkwith you in person as we did at PrimalCon Tulum and Oxnard 2014. It was a blessing to make new friends to cheer me on to better quality living with Ancestral Health principles. Physicians for Ancestral Health has continued to gather participants thanks to Primalcon connections.

    Much has happened in the last 5 years, and I am more optimistic than ever that the healthy diet and lifestyle you champion will continue to becoming the mainstream standard to achieve healthy and productive longevity.

    You have more allies and friends sharing the good news than you can imagine. Continue sharing your wisdom and knowledge. It took me some years, but now I know the truth that we need not simply resign ourselves to debilitation and diseases associated with aging, thanks to you and the Paleo and Ancestral Health community. Positive outlook is a superpower we all have and must use. You have pioneered the way and I remain thankful that you did! Never Quit, Never Give Up!

  9. With regard to Sunday with Sisson thoughts on a mission. Throughout my life, after not making into pro sports, I have neglected to really specify a mission for myself. What Dr. Gary North terms your calling. I done ok in life and career just adapting on the fly. Sort of like my college study habits, LOL. But I have recently given it more thought. Better late than never right? First of all I am blessed at 56 to have many grandchildren. I really try to share wisdom with them that they don’t get in school. Show them things and places they never imagined. I also encourage their embracing entrepreneurship. Second as a lifetime athlete in good health, partly due to Marks Daily Apple, in spite of being HIV+ I have a lot to offer to people in my circle of friends and their friends in terms healthy choices and habits. Being 56, having a full time job as a software engineer, and a side business I think I can those over 40 years old best.

I’ve been trying to make it my mission to help guys in their 40s and older to find a healthy, ancestral lifestyle and to learn that it’s not impossible to regain your health, no matter what your condition and especially your age. Unfortunately, I’m aiming at guys who generally are set in their ways and “don’t have time” for changing their lifestyles or just dismiss it outright. “I’m just getting older, no way around that.”

    It’s frustrating – I truly don’t understand why a guy would just outright reject something that could make him happier and healthier.

  13. Your request for posts about people on a mission spoke to me because we are in the midst of one. We refer to it as a calling. The calling is to share the idea with people, that maybe we were created to be a place for the creator to dwell. Thus the body is a temple. “the kingdom of God is within you.”

    We act on the premise that to optimize communion with our higher power we should optimize the health of our body. Our second premise is that to facilitate communion it is very helpful to purposefully live in love.

    Living consciously in love and gratitude opens the door and is the way.

  14. Per your comments on Sunday about Primal Kitchen mayo, I have tried it and have been bitterly disappointed. The last TWO jars I purchased have both separated – the oil has come out of emulsion and absolutely refused to remix – after only a couple of weeks in the fridge. Given that the texture and taste are not very good to start with and the price is outrageous, I’m done with this stuff.

    Mayo exists for a reason. I like it. I don’t want to eat unhealthy oils, but your mayo is on my permanent “dirt” list.

    1. Dan, thanks for reaching out. I apologize for that experience with our mayo. The team and I take the integrity of our products very seriously. Because our mayo is a real food product and contains no artificial thickeners or preservatives, this makes it sensitive to temperature fluctuations (especially in the winter), which causes the emulsification to break. This can also occur in your fridge if it’s too cold (below 38 degrees). We recommend keeping the mayo in the door of your fridge so it doesn’t get too cold as well. I’d love to send you two mayo jars as replacements. Please shoot us an email to [email protected] with the flavors you need replaced. Best — M

      1. Thanks for the reply, Mark. I had no idea that cold temps could be a problem, but that would be the likely cause in my case because my fridge is at 35°. I will use my thermometer to look for a “warm spot” or maybe raise the temp a couple of degrees. Since you have made me such a generous offer I will give the mayo another chance and see if I can take care of it right at my end. Who knew?
