Forget about the Iron chefs, Alton Browns, and Rachel Rays; learn from the original. Cheeseslave writes a delightful tribute to Julia Child, a TV Chef who wasn’t afraid to cook with fat.

Planning on living a hundred years? Be sure to save enough money! The Washington Post reports that Larry Haubner may lose his savings before he loses his health. He’s 107 and still pumping iron!

If your lust for bacon wasn’t satisfied by last week’s Bacon & Scallops recipe, try Food Renegade’s Bacon and Avocado Egg Salad.

Or if bacon’s not your thing, if you desire more fruits and veggies, the beautiful food photography of Primal recipes from Joyful Abode will be sure to make your mouth water.

  1. I just made a $25 donation to http://www.savelarry.org to help Larry Haubner be able to stay in his assisted living facility.

What an inspiration he is to living a healthy lifestyle! 107 and not taking any medications. How many people half his age can say that?

  2. Aww, thank you so much for including my blog in your link love!

Also, I love The Onion… their “articles” always have me snickering.

  3. Food Renegade is your’s FNW? Wow, your food is gorgeous. I’m making that egg salad with avocado and bacon.

  4. OOps. Sorry, how embarrassing. I got mixed up with another blog

    Your food looks awesome too.

  5. Haha. 🙂 It’s okay. I’m Joyful Abode.
And bacon is forthcoming, actually… I’m not all veggies and fruit.
