New Mark’s Daily Apple Forum App

Mark's Daily Apple Forum app

I’m pleased to announce a free smart phone and tablet app for the Mark’s Daily Apple Forum. I’ve been using it for the last week and have found that it makes browsing, reading and writing in the forum on smart devices a cinch.

If you’re not familiar with the forum, this is the perfect time to create an account and connect with the Mark’s Daily Apple community. There’s no better place to communicate with and get outstanding feedback from fellow paleo/Primal enthusiasts.

Here are a few screenshots of the new app (click to enlarge):

You can get the Mark’s Daily Apple Forum app for the iPhone and iPad here and for Android devices here.

If you give the app a spin, I’d really appreciate if you review it in the iTunes and Google Play stores. Many thanks in advance.

I hope this makes the MDA experience even better for everyone that visits. Enjoy!

  1. I have been waiting for this. Tapatalk is pretty good but MDA definitely warrants it’s own app. Now we need an electronic version on the n=1 Journal and the quick reference card and we’ll be good to go. It’s nice to see evolution at work ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks MDA team!

  2. Any chance of getting this app onto Amazon so we can get it on Kindle Fire?

    1. you should be able to sideload it from the Google Play store onto the Kindle Fire

  3. New to this entire Paleo experience.
Installing the the app on my Android right now.
    Thanks.

  4. Installing now. Thanks for remembering Android AND making it FREE. =)

  5. Loving the app Mark!
I’ve been playing with it for hours and it makes it such a better user experience viewing and posting on the forum using it than just via the web browser!

    A couple of suggestions:

    1. I kind of miss seeing people’s locations on there posts. Sometimes it adds context to what they’ve said.

    2. I was hoping that it would make it easier to post pictures, or I should say quicker for them to be visible to others (ie. instantaneous), like posting a pic on Facebook. But the stil have to wait for moderation, which I don’t really understand as most posters get around that by posting pics elsewhere and the just linking to the image. So why not just remove the moderation step? Or, if it is sone kind of anti-spam precaution, at least automate it, so once a poster has had x number of pics moderated they become a “trusted” poster.

Minor points though, still a cool and (unusually for useful iPhone apps) free ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. I’m kinda disappointed. I have been hoping for Tapatalk integration for a long time. The app is pretty basic, and definitely better for a phone than a tablet, plus it breaks the all-in-one forum interface with most other sites. Something is better than nothing though, glad to see more effort for the PC-free, even if it wasn’t what I was hoping for.

  7. I take it back, Tapatalk just needed a refresh, perfection ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Won’t open on Nexus 4. Can’t get past the opening home page. I have deleted and reinstalled several times but nothing happens.

    1. I have exactly the same problem. Just does not work. (Samsung Galaxy SII)

  9. Have double posted a few times. Not sure if its lag on my Internet connection or an issue with the app, but after hitting post it looks like its processing the post but stays showing the new post you’re writing instead of going back to the thread. So you end up posting the same things more than once.

  10. @Golorib…
Don’t know what Blackberry you may have, but if you have the Z10, and can get the apk of the Android installer, it should be able to be sideloaded onto the device.
