MDA Named “Best Men’s Health Blog of 2017”

What can I say…it’s a great way to end the week and head into the holiday weekend. I just got word that has named Mark’s Daily Apple among its “Best Men’s Health Blogs of 2017.”

In their words…”We’ve carefully selected these blogs because they are actively working to educate, inspire, and empower their readers with frequent updates and high-quality information.” I’d say that certainly aligns with my vision for Mark’s Daily Apple and for what I hope this blog and community offer reader and visitors every day.

But I’m not stopping there. In particular, I’m looking to add more information, more research, more insight for women this coming year. I’ve never called or considered this a men’s blog, but I’m thrilled male readers find solid and relevant information here. I want MDA women readers to feel spoken to with the same regard and depth for health issues and questions affecting them. And you can hold me to that.

Gratitude to and to all of you for being part of the Primal movement and the Mark’s Daily Apple community. Grok on, everyone!

    1. Actually I don’t know if that’s true. MDA is the only men’s health blog I read. But it is truly in its own class.

  7. MDA is the best – congrats! Personal opinion only (I’m a multiple eating disorders survivor, so read in that context please): it’s going to be harder to win over the over-40 female population because we have been inundated with ‘tips and tricks to be beach ready in one hour or less!’ etc. nonsense. I truly admire the younger generation who seem to have a much healthier attitude towards acceptance of the body type with which they were born and celebrating the differences. And they want to be STRONG not stick-thin! Targeting those of us raised on supermarket magazines would be so helpful. Thanks for EVERYTHING.

I’ve often been dissatisfied with my subscription magazines like Men’s Health and Runner’s World, as they give totally superficial and almost always lame mainstream nutritional advice that is just plain WRONG, at least for me. I can’t wait until those subs run out so I don’t feel obligated to skim through them because I paid for them. Meanwhile I have often wished there were instead a ketogenic and or paleo version of Men’s Health, and then I realize there IS: MARK’S DAILY APPLE. Definitely the best health and fitness blog on the internet. I just bought a second copy of The New Primal Blueprint and gave it to my brother, telling him “of the 20+ books I’ve read on health and wellness, this is the single best one, highly-up-to-date and well-informed yet in a deceptively accessible conversational tone that should not lead you to underestimate the depth and richness of technical expertise and wise perspective on real-world application of the science and experience behind it. I also often recommend the Natural Health blog by Dr. Joseph Mercola, and the Empowering Neurologist blog by Dr. David Perlmutter.
