How to Use Collagen Powder: 12 Interesting Uses that Go Beyond Smoothies

If you’ve been a part of the Primal, keto, or clean-eating community for a while, you’re likely well aware of all the various reasons to add collagen into your daily routine. It contains glycine, it may improve your sleep and skin elasticity, and it might even been beneficial to healing joints and injuries.

Whether you take collagen to support your hair, skin, and nails or to aid in your post-workout recovery, supplementing your diet with collagen peptides is easy and effective.

We tend to associate supplement powders with adding a scoop or two into your blender to make a midday shake or early AM smoothie, but collagen peptides can mix into virtually anything. Taking collagen can become a culinary pursuit: this versatile supplement sneaks into coffee, baked goods, savory dishes, and so much more.

Here are 12 ways to use collagen that you may not have thought of yet.

  1. I never really thought of using collagen in baked good. I typically just mix some dark chocolate collage with warm coconut milk for a healthier hot chocolate.

  2. i am so satisfacted.my english is poor, sorry :). thx for approving my user greetings wally

  3. I always add 3 scoops of UN Flavored collagen to my rice. My hubs is Japanese and I am of Spanish descent. So we have rice a lot. I always add collagen and mineral drops and FAT (a combination of butter, tallow, lard, AND duck fat to my rice.) It tastes amazing. NO ONE knows that there is collagen and minerals drops in the rice. And the collagen and fat give the rice a great silky texture.

  4. Could you comment on whether or not collagen affects breast tissue please. I have grown a very hard mass in my right breast. Was taking a scoop of collagen in my coffee every morning when this occurred quite rapidly. Have read that coffee possibly causes fibrocystic breast disease and thought perhaps the combo of the two is a result. I have stopped using collagen temporarily but not happy about it!

  5. This is something really special to me as I am looking out for such preparation for quite long. Now, Mark, you have provided us with the solution.
