CrossFit Radio Appearance

CrossFit Radio had me on their show this Wednesday. We talked grains, inflammation, the difficulties of sorting fact from fiction in nutrition studies and the power of the Primal Blueprint. I had a great time and hope to do more in the future. You can listen to the full Episode 97 podcast by visiting the CrossFit Journal site or by listening here:

  1. Mark…this might be the best interview I have heard you give. Incredibly eloquent. It is nice that you weren’t rushed.

  2. Mark,

As you may or may not know, there has been a huge controversy in the Crossfit community concerning Rob Wolff and HQ; with Crossfit taking the public stance that Barry Sear’s Zone is hands down a better plan than Paleo/Primal. I thought your interview was a great opportunity to provide an alternate viewpoint (complete with a timely mention of your education background).

    Thanks RS

  3. Great interview! Timely considering what’s going on with nutrition in the CrossFit community. People should really go back and read or re-read what you’ve written about diet and dogma. Keep up the great work.

  4. Listened to it last night. Great stuff. I’ll be asking Santa for your book for Christmas.

  5. I’ve been a Crossfiter since 2007, and have made increasingly better food choices since then. But I just recently, after reading your book, finally cut out grains completely!

I’ve already noticed a difference in my belly, which of course was the one little area that I couldn’t get rid of EVEN though I only have 10-14% body fat!

I love what you said about grains in this interview, and how none of us eat them without toppings (butter on bread, sauce on spaghetti, etc.)

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Keep it coming!
