  1. Is this a new page for the preorder? I’m not seeing any encryption or security measures on the page where you are asking for credit card info, otherwise I’d be ordering this already.

    1. Ok so the encryption came up when I used the checkout button but not off the link to preorder, weird.

      1. Yes, clicking “Checkout” will do the trick. Also, the second page of the checkout (the one that matters my tech guys are telling me) uses “https”. The data is fully encrypted and safe and we have a current SSL certificate installed on the site. There is no need for concern. Alternatively, though, you can dial 888.774.6259 to place an order by phone.

        1. Wish I had read this earlier. I too was scared off by the lack of SSL on the order page. Ordering now.

    2. Same happened for me and it freaked me out. I ended up calling their office and placed the order that way. Being a programmer I am always vigilant about encryption and it is refreshing to read that others are too.

  4. Just placed my order. Does anyone know if the book ships immediately? I heard rumblings about mid-May but wanted to make sure.

    Cool video, Mark! Any video that starts out with bacon usually has nowhere to go but down…somehow it maintained the momentum.

  5. In the spirit of the Grok cookbook, I wanted to share this concoction I came up with tonight. It was really just fridge trash, but it came out excellent.

    Slice up some zucchini, butter it, and let it bake to crispify while you mix up in the skillet some beef, sauerkraut, mushrooms, oil, and tomato sauce (mine already had basil, oregano, thyme from a previous meal). My beef was already-cooked leftovers, so you’d probably want to brown it first if starting from raw. Then I threw a bit of paprika and vegetable flakes on for flavor. I don’t know if that last is available commercially — a friend of my mother’s dries and grinds carrots, onions, peppers, etc. and hands it out in big jars. It adds some more nutrition to any meal. And when your skillet stuff is all heated, pour it over the zucchini. Yum!
