Not interested in hijacking Mark's thread discussing Jimmy, so here is where I'll leave it!

1.) I care exactly ZERO about Jimmy's personal life and life choices!

2.) I don't listen to Jimmy's show for Jimmy personally, therefore I don't care if he's credible or not. I listen to the show for his often very knowledgeable guests.

3.) Jimmy's a low-carber. I'm going to go out on a limb and say... most are frankenfoodies. I have never heard Jimmy claim to be paleo/primal. Don't try and make him something he's not.

Exactly. I would wager that Mark makes money off MDA, including book and supplement--I don't know if it's his sole source of income--but I look at his site and don't see a bunch of Google ads or "sponsors." That gives him more credibility to me. When Jimmy first started out he was very credible, but then here came the frankenfood ads and his defense of a very shady diet plan that only ended when people threatened to boycott his sponsors (read income), then he almost fell over himself backpedaling. He put all his eggs in one basket, which was really really dumb.

I don't really read what he writes very much, but I enjoy many of the podcast interviews.

Even if he didn't eat it, frankenfoods are the sponsors. It's kind of hard to bash them within your content when they're paying the mortgage. Tough position to be in ;)

Yeah, when he's not Livin' La Vida Frankenfoods. A classic example of "do as I say, not as I do." Sure, he lost 180 pounds ... and gained fifty of it back eating garbage. He's still a junk food addict, he's just switched to low-carb junk. It's only because he gets huge hits that people fawn over him, no one says a public word about his horrible fake food-filled diet. Read his menus blog and see how sarcastic and nasty he gets if anyone calls him on his lousy eating habits. That's why he no longer posts his weight--because he wants to keep up the "I lost 180 pounds" pretense and keep making money off his blog (his only income source, BTW, so another reason to take anything he writes with a huge grain of salt ... or sugar?).

...and box jumps! I love including these in my routine. The family has fallen into the habit of dancing to Pet Shop Boys a few evenings a week in our outdoor play room (converted garage). Great fun way to get some jumping in. Even our 14 month old is getting into the swing of things! A family that dances together lives longer together.

Mark,
Kenyon is incredible, her research on worms indeed is something that followers of your site would be inherently interested in. I would encourage folks to watch a youtube clip or two of her presentations. I spoke with a researcher that knows her recently, the import of her research in combination with "paleo principles" followed by our community are quite phenomenal.

Here's some more info regarding Dr. Kenyon I wrote about a few months ago that points out that there are some in the drug/research industry that are indeed on OUR side, Kenyon is one of them:

In fact, they ate a diet of "healthy" whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, just like the nutritionist ordered, and yet, somehow, they still seem to have had all the hallmark diseases of "civilization." I'm thinking specifically of the skeleton of Hatshepsut, which was heavily diseased, but it seems to be pretty common to find traces of chronic diet-related disease amongst Egyptian mummies.

I guessing they just didn't eat enough whole wheat to save themselves from caries/CHD/cancer/diabetes/obesity!
