Mark,

Just wanted to say that the book was wonderful. My mom bought it and i stole it from her as soon as it arrived in the mail :) I absolutely love your writing style. Even if I wasn't a Primal junkie, you would have won me over immediately.

Glad to see the positive book reviews! I don't want to hurt book sales, but I was thinking of donating my copy of the book to my local library when I'm done with it to share the joy! Does anyone know if having a copy in the library helps or hurts sales?

egmutza, you're right, I did come down a little hard on super slow lifting. There is some research there, for sure. It just doesn't fully fit the Primal model for me as a regular routine.

Great! August 3rd is when I come back from a mini-vacation. I started eating Primal at the beginning of this month and have broken my weight loss plateau as a result (I have been on a whole-grain based diet for the last 5-6 months.) I'll continue eating Primal through July and will use the challenge as a way to see if Primal weight loss can be sustained past a month.

Interesting interview. Kinda surprised to hear you come down so hard on super slow lifting. I'm working my way through Body By Science at the moment and find the evidence they present in support of their recommendations to be pretty compelling.

Even if it's not exactly what Grok would do, it's still inline with the core concept of not overexercising, minimizing stress on the body and risk of injury, lifting heavy things occasionally, and doing intense workouts with plenty of recovery time in between. I would have expected a more nuanced response to the question. Maybe you'll do a post on the subject some day?

Congrat.'s Mark on your interview!
I just listened in and you
explained it so thoroughly.
Living your Primal Blueprint Lifestyle
is "the healthiest way of living!"
It just makes sense!

Perfect timing on the challenge - my wife comes back from the States after 2 months on Aug. 1, our anniversary is Aug. 2 (sensible vices will be consumed, but probably not in sensible quantities;)), and then we can go head-long into the challenge.

I'm doing well on my own this summer, but the missus is a superior cook (primal or otherwise).
