Create Your Own 30-Day Health Challenge

This is your first task. It’s time for you to define and commit to your own 30-day challenge.

I’ve created a special forum for The Primal Blueprint Health Challenge. In it you can state your personal 30-day challenge and start a “Primal Challenge Journal” to track your progress.

Use the Primal Blueprint Health Challenge forum to receive positive feedback, advice and help along the way from myself and the Mark’s Daily Apple community.

Daily Contests

The main challenge itself isn’t competitive but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some friendly contests along they way!

Over the course of the next month Mark’s Daily Apple, Primal Nutrition and sponsors will be giving away over $6,000 in prizes.

Here are some rules and answers to FAQ:

  • Contests will run every day for the duration of the 30-day challenge (through Sep. 1), so check back daily!
  • All contest prizes relate in some way to the Primal lifestyle.
  • Some contests will require a bit of leg work while others will require something as simple as commenting on a blog post.
  • There is no limit to how many contests you can participate in.
  • The duration of any one contest depends on the nature of the contest. Some will last the full 30 days (to give you time to complete the contest task) while others will be as short as 1 day.
  • Contest prizes will be awarded either by a random drawing, by reader voting/polling or by an executive decision (who I think should win!).
  • Some prizes will only be available to United States residents.
  • You can track the contests and contest results on the Primal Blueprint Health Challenge Contest Page. It will be updated every day.
  • I’m not being paid by any company that is sponsoring the contest with a prize.

Imagine you’re George Clooney. Take a moment to admire your grooming and wit. Okay, now imagine someone walks up to you and asks, “What’s your name?” You say, “I’m George Clooney.” Or maybe you say, “I’m the Clooninator!” You don’t say “I’m George of George Clooney Sells Movies Blog” and you certainly don’t say, “I’m Clooney Weight Loss Plan”.   9. I’m new to Primal Blueprint, which is great timing with the abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables now available in south eastern PA. But what about the winter, when most, if not all, fruits (and vegetables) are imported from around the globe? What do you recommend for off-season eating?

    I’ve been gradually adopting PB principles over the last two years, and couldn’t be happier with the changes in my own health. I have been less successful in bringing my family along. Teenage boys eat SO MUCH! They are generally willing to eat the good food I prepare, but if I don’t put it in front of them, they resort to, well, anything! Any suggestions on how to “indoctrinate” them, for lack of a better word?

I like a challenge, but am not sure I’m a good contestant… I was nearly killed in a car wreck on 6-7-08 and (for now) cannot walk. So I try, every single day, to improve my health and get back to walking! One day, I keep saying, one day…

  14. Hello Mark, I recently finished reading your book- it’s great. I have tried to change my diet and live primal but I am having a dreadful time. I have lived a total fat free vegetarian life for so many years, I kept slim effortlessly this way also. Once I started to hear about the benefits of healthy fats etc. I thought I should change my diet but living primal for me has been a great challenge, I just can’t seem to live this way. Im totally on your side Mark, I want to change to a primal lifestyle. I was wondering if you have heard of anyone else suffering from such a huge dietary change or maybe you have some answers for me. I’m so confused, are some people ment to be grain eating vegetarians and others primal? There is so much conflicting information out there,and now there is the “raw foodist’s” like the PH miracle and the like, saying all animal foods are acid and we are going to die if we eat them. So now without your help I don’t know what to eat. Could you please help me out? Thankyou for the work you put into your website and the book.

I am so excited about this challenge I have been Grokking away for three weeks now, I have lost nine pounds— pretty much effortlessly by simply eating like a Grok, enjoying my walks to the post office at work instead of driving, going barefoot as often as possible I even foraged two gallons of my own huckleberrys from the local mountains this year.Farmers market is looking better and better, am also working on dehydrating wild game for home made jerky, can you say no additives or preservatives there!The best part is how great I feel!
