Launch Week Announcements

intro 1

1. In case you missed it this week I wanted to announce that I am giving away the introduction to my new book, The Primal Blueprint, for free. You can get the PDF here. In it you’ll see a side-by-side comparison chart of the major elements of health and fitness Conventional Wisdom pitted against the Primal Blueprint to help you get a taste of what the book is all about. The feedback on the introduction alone has been tremendous already. Many thanks go out to everyone for showing their support.

2. I’ve had a number of emails from readers wondering whether or not they’ll receive an autographed copy of the book. There has been huge response for pre-orders, so make sure you reserve your copy today and you may still make the cut.

3. On Monday, launch day, I held a t-shirt giveaway for everyone that commented. As luck would have it one of the people that came right out and said they wanted a shirt ended up winning the contest. Enjoy your shirt, Ellen!

I’ll be holding more contests and giveaways in the future so check back often.

4. The last announcement has to do with newsletter subscribers. I’ve had a tricky time this week transferring my existing newsletter subscriber list to the new newsletter service. If you are a current subscriber and haven’t yet received a confirmation link the best way to ensure you’ll continue to receive the Mark’s Daily Apple newsletter is to sign up for it again. And trust me. It will be worth the little effort it takes to enter your email address in the “Weekly Newsletter” field. I’ve expanded the newsletter to include some really cool new features including “The Primal Blueprint Insider” which will be delivered every two weeks and will include special tips, resources and guides to help you get Primal – stuff you won’t find on MDA.

All-in-all I’m pretty happy with how the transition from old MDA to new MDA played out this week, and I hope you are too. I’d love to hear your feedback. Thanks, everyone. Have a great weekend and get Primal!

You want comments? We got comments:

Imagine you’re George Clooney. Take a moment to admire your grooming and wit. Okay, now imagine someone walks up to you and asks, “What’s your name?” You say, “I’m George Clooney.” Or maybe you say, “I’m the Clooninator!” You don’t say “I’m George of George Clooney Sells Movies Blog” and you certainly don’t say, “I’m Clooney Weight Loss Plan”. So while spam is technically meat, it ain’t anywhere near Primal. Please nickname yourself something your friends would call you.

  1. I was able to confirm my subscription to your newsletter, but did not get the pdf intro to your book (which I’m eager to share with my husband). When I click on the link in this post, it tells me I have to subscribe to the newsletter to get the pdf, and when I do, it tells me I’m already subscribed (which I am). Please help!

    Thanks.

  2. I don’t want to sound cheap or anything. I love your site and what you’re doing and would like to help support that. But in interest of my own wallet, I have to ask. What is going to be in the book that we haven’t seen for free on here (or sonofgrok, lifespotlight, etc etc)?

I really want to buy the book, but if there isn’t going to be any new information, I just can’t justify it. I’m sure you understand.

I don’t expect you to give me the information here, but maybe just the reassurance that it is there.

    • Brandon,
Reassurance: There’s plenty of new stuff. The book is comprehensive. It allows me to fully explain and go into detail in a way that is difficult within the limits of any given blog post of less than 1000 words.

  3. The new site is just brilliant, now I am even more excited to read the new daily post.
Also finding older articles is much easier, which just makes me spend at least 30 min every day on MDA.
Keep up the good work Mark!

  4. Wheeee! Thanks so much to the T-Shirt Mark.

I love it and will get a pic as soon as I’m feeling pic-worthy.

Really looking forward to the book.

And I love your new site and the forum.

    Thanks for everything.. E

    • If you’re referring to the long list of categories, those can still be found at the bottom of the “Archives” page.

  7. I’m pretty sure I subscribed to the newsletter but haven’t been receiving anything….certainly not the pdf. I’ll have to re-register I think.

Congrats on winning the T-shirt, Ellen!

    • Same here.

  8. I’m definitely getting this, although I don’t have a credit card. I suppose I’ll have to borrow one.

In fact I’ll probably get two (possibly even three) copies of the book… I know lots of people who’d love the information. Hopefully I can get my boyfriend to take a look, he’s been pretty down about a seeming inability to get in better shape but is extremely skeptical about anything that seems too simple and/or easy…

    The site is fantastic Mark.
