Im a big fan of Livin La Vida Low Carb, yes, but a biggER fan of this simple yet POWERFUL quote:
----
Many people still do what I call “chronic cardio” in an attempt to somehow burn off stored fat. I almost cry when I see the same overweight people in the gym everyday for years making no progress. Of course they are sabotaging everything with their diets and trying to overcompensate by accumulating big numbers on the LED readouts.
----

oh that Id have the chutzpah, errr, gumption to ever try and lend a hand.

it's all the pain we know versus the pain we dont sometimes...

Jimmy's podcast and your blog are two high quality sources of info, so the two of you combined was good to hear.

Please go back on at some point to talk more about the primal lifestyle.

Great interview, Mark! I enjoyed listening. The "Baton Death March to Nowhere" was a great quote.

I'm glad for his success, but I try to avoid his website because his writing style turns me off.

I'll have to check out the podcast when I have time.

Mark - a superb and eloquent rationale for the paleo/primal lifestyle. I can send this to my friends, relatives and fellow amateur athletes and know that if this does not change their mind then there is nothing more I need to do!

You mentioned that few people train in the same way as you did when you were an endurance athlete. I think there are actually a surprising number of people who train for 60-90 minutes per day, 5-6 days per week simply as a calorie control mechanism - and although they do not consider themselves to be athletes and do not train at the same level, I would imagine the damage levels of the lifestyle come close...
