In my greedy unbiased mind, getting a "neck rub" is then to be treated with a good nap and a tall drink of iced tea. It is not to be returned with a neck rub, as it would defeat the purpose, and the purpose is to relax. This is why you enlist a younger member of the family and tell them, simply, these are the rules and natural laws of the land and that they must respect there elders and these aforementioned regulations in which they agreed to by being birthed, but there younger cousins, etc., are completely in play.
