Radish Tops

Are the leafy tops of radishes edible? Seems a shame to throw them away. Can they be cooked just like any other greens? Maybe with some bacon grease or butter?

Out of our garden, we have eaten them when small as a radish-sprout salad (when I needed to thin them out) but as they got older they were very prickly and not so great when we tried it again. But, I think that probably depends on the variety.
I've also heard of pickled radish tops but have never done it myself.

Oh absolutely! When I buy fresh radishes, I make a stir fry with the greens. You can eat the beet tops too, I find them tastier than regular greens.

Well, I made the radish tops. Sauteed them in cornish hen grease and garlic. They were gross! I will try them raw next time.
