  2. Day 26 Monday
Well, this was more of a challenging day since we met my girl's godmother for lunch and then ice cream. Waaah!

B'fast: blueberries & sausages; coffee with cream
Lunch: bowl of grilled chicken, celery, buffalo sauce & blue cheese on top some salad greens **Passed on the ice cream !!**
Supper: pan-fried italian sausages with onions, peppers, mushrooms, zukes & garlic on mashed cauliflower. Two small squares of dark chocolate
Snack: 2 leftover breakfast sausages & 2 small celery sticks with almond butter.

Also had a decaf iced coffee from S'bucks. They only have half & half - the milk sugar was making me hungry later, hence the 2 snacks. I was feeling like the old bottomless pit!! Guess I need to stay away from milk sugar.
    :)

  6. 9/4 Friday
Farmer's Market day where I successfully avoided chocolate ganache cupcakes & triple chocolate cookies.

Breakfast: 2 fried eggs & 2 slices of bacon; cup of coffee with cream (going no dairy on Monday). Totally filled me up until after 2 pm & I ate at 8:30.

    Lunch: summer sausage with salad

Dinner: take out Chinese: mu shi w/o the pancakes. I usually love the hoisin sauce but now I can tell just how much sugar it has in it. Eek!

Snack: just afternoon coffee with cream.

Lifted heavy things (loading/unloading the canopy and stuff from the car) AND took a run/walk with the doggy after supper! This is a big deal because before, even when I felt really good, I would *never* have gone running. Never! Cool!

  8. 9/6 Sunday: went to beach with hub & kidlets. You know it's fall when you're wearing your fleece at the beach!
B'fast: fried eggs and bacon - my new fave breakfast! - coffee with cream
    Lunch: leftover meatballs
Snack: 1/2 larabar (won't do that again!)
supper: lemon-pepper fish at deive-in after the beach. I managed to pass on the stuffed clams & clam cakes. I was difficult until I smelled them. They smelled yucky! Grabbed an iced coffee on the way home. :)

8 mile bike ride with the kiddies & worked in the garden. There are some wicked hills on that bike path! Plus worked in the garden & made tons of purple pesto.

breakfast: almond pancakes w/ strawberry sauce, sausages & coffee with cream (man, it's hard to quit that cream!!)

lunch: salad w/ bacon, HB egg, ham, lettuce & tahini dressing

dinner: kielbasa w/ cabbage, sauerkraut (homemade - the best!)

snack: turkey lunchmeat w/ cream cheese, handfull of nuts

    Was a good day.

  10. Hi Deb FM,

I have enjoyed reading your posts. You are doing fantastic, and it sounds like you are feeling great. How much weight have you lost or inches? I have lost about 5 lbs in 4 weeks and can't wait to lose more. It is so easy now without being hungry and NO cravings at all. So exciting!

    Debra

  11. Hi Debra,

    Thanks for the encouragment! :)

I've lost at least 10# & I'm down a clothing size (I have a lot of extra padding). I'm not sure about inches, though, as I promised myself I wouldn't look for a month & I took the measurements 2 weeks ago!

I know, this is so much easier than anything I've tried previously. I'm not hungry, I actually eat less and no cravings. Nice!

  13. Wednesday 09/09/09 !

B'fast: three fried eggs & three pcs bacon; coffee with cream. Yum!

Lunch: leftover roast chicken with 1tsp patak's (bad!)curry & 1TBS homemade tahini dressing. Yummy!

Afternoon coffee w/ cream. Man, can't seem to get rid of that cream!

    IF'd supper (wasn't hungry)

WOD: crossfit! warm-up (.25 mile run, 15 pushups, 15 squats, 20 kb swings) then 3 rounds run .25 miles & do 15 burpees (because I'm the super-baby beginner). I finished all my sets and managed to run most of the way during the runs. Whoopee!

  15. Weekend report!
Despite the huge amount of carb-loaded food at our event, I had no problem. After seeing me, one of my friends from our group is going to go Primal. She was really impressed by my energy level (okay, annoyed was more like it!). And another friend who was very interested.

It was really weird, though, the amount of carb addiction was apparent: everyone else's energy level was so low (you want to walk where!?)and, man, they have to eat all the time. We all got to have some good conversations, though. Everyone notices when you don't eat the huge amounts of grain-based products around.

Almost have the hubby convinced to go Primal, too. He's tired of they hypoglycemic lows he gets. He's always having to eat.

Friday; eggs & bacon for b'fast; curry chicken salad in lettuce (wasn't too hungry); supper was chicken sausages cooked over the fire.
Sat: bacon/sausage for b'fast; salad w/ summer sausage for lunch; pork loin for supper
Sun: bacon/sausage/eggs for b'fat; lunchmeat & cheese in lettuce wraps for lunch. For Supper we stopped at Moe's where I got a salad in a bowl with chicken, guacamole, pico de gallo & cheese.

Lots of water this weekend & of course, coffee!

  16. Monday 9/14

B'fast: 2 fried eggs & 3 slices bacon; black coffee (no cream from the milkman!)
Lunch: goat cheddar, turkey (2 slices) and salad with lettuce, cherry tomatoes & orange pepper; tahini salad dressing
supper: grilled steak & curried cabbage
snack: coffee w/ coconut milk; 2 spoons almond butter

certainly didn't get enough sleep & I could tell. Also think that coconut milk + coffee are fine separate but we don't make a good 3-element team. I was really drained today so I just hung around & didn't do any kind of workout.

  17. Tuesday 9/15

b'fast: IF'd it & just had black coffee

snack: more almond butter!!! And had some yogurt.

Goat cheddar? That sounds yummy. I've never seen it. I'll have to look for some next time I'm cheese shopping. :)

  19. Goat cheddar is pretty yummy. I found it at Trader Joe's so the price wasn't too bad!

  20. Weds * Thurs * Fri

I have been so lame with the workouts this week! Even so, I did fit into two pairs of pants that I've never been able to get into before. Totally psyched about that. Still hate that scale, though! How can a person go down almost 2 clothes sizes and still have only lost 10 pounds?! It's confounding!

Weds: I totally don't remember most of what I ate! I did make steak tips for supper, though, with sauteed red cabbage.

Thursday: a two meal day - that seems to really work for me - leftover almond pancakes with butter & some blueberries & sausage; coffee with cream. Supper was roast chicken & bacon kale.

Friday: sausages & fried eggs w/ coffee & cream; lunch was salami, apple and almond butter; supper bacon cheddar burger with mushrooms. That was super yummy!

Well, have to get back on the workout train this week. Hub wasn't home on Weds eve, so I couldn't make it to the crossfit but I will next week.

IF'd lunch but not on purpose! Just wasn't hungry until after 5:00!

Did some gardening and a two mile doggy walk, too. Felt good to get outside.

Ohhh... I can't wait for spicy breakfast sausage. It sounds so good! Gotta love those accidental IFs! :)

  23. I love sausage, especially if it's spicy. Yummy! I seem to be doing the accidental IF's quite a bit lately...

  24. Sunday 9/20

B'fast: scrambled eggs & lotsa bacon; coffee with cream
    Lunch: jerky & an apple
supper: cheese, hard sausage & nuts
snack: buffalo wings & blue cheeses sauce - went to see U2 with the hubby so I had a splurge. I also had a few swallows of beer...THAT turned out badly!

The good thing was we had to walk 1.5 miles each way from the parking area. That was nice!

  25. Monday, 9/21
NO more beer for me. Last night I had stomach craps and woke up with horrible sinus pain and inflammation. And I felt horrible, just like I used to feel all the time before I went primal. Ugh - I think I only had 4 or 5 sips of beer. What a bummer! Beer is the only thing non-primal thing I miss. There's still wine and mead, at least!

B'fast: eggs & sausage; coffee with cream
no lunch, didn't feel like eating just felt crappy
    Supper: turkey meatballs & cabbage

I went to bed early, not even a doggy walk.

b'fast: scrambled eggs with ham & cheese; coffee with cream
lunch: turkey rolled up with cream cheese & garlic in it & wrapped in lettuce
snacks: 2 TBS almond butter; walnuts & cayenne pumpkin seeds; coffee with cream
supper: leftover cabbage & meatballs supplemented with some kielbasa

  28. 9/24 Thursday *sigh* the in-laws left. Unfortunately, it was 1 day too late.

b'fast: scrambled eggies & spicy sausage; coffee with cream.
Lunch: 1 tbs almond butter, left over kielbasa with cabbage
Supper: lemon pepper haddock, celery & almond salad (that was incredibly yummy).
snack: 1 small apple; almond butter, a few walnuts

What is it with almonds? They are just too delicious! My go-to stress food...way, way better than cookies/bread/crackers/chips, though.
