  1. I am adding a magnesium supplement to my daily vitamins. What kind is preferable- elemental, citrate, malate, aspartate, etc? I always get confused when I try to pick one out.

  2. Personally, I like the granulated one, citrate, I believe. They sell it in powder form with orange, lemon & lemon-raspberry. I mix it with water at night and it helps with sleep and you can drink extra for more regularity (although, if I am truly Primal, that is not an issue).

I was also looking into the chelated cal-mag supplements and thought that looked good. I personally settled on a cal-mag w/ vit D, since I need more D anyway.

I probably didn't really answer your question, but based on personal experience, the citrate worked best for me.

I also take calcium.D.mag combo. What exactly is mag good for? I noticed via Fitday that I was low on it, which is why I take the supplement.

Bee pollen is apparently a good source. I just started taking/learning about it.

  5. Most of us are deficient in mag, D and Omega 3's.

Magnesium keeps our calcium leaching and calcification in check.
