I have the flu... of swine!

Yep, its true. After all my vitamins and elderberry extract I got the 'ole flu. Really, it sucks but it not as bad (symptom wise) as the regular flu I had in March. In March I was pasted to my bed and days passed without notice. With this, I feel achy and gross, but I am still mobile. Even with a fever of 103F I don't FEEL as bad as I did before. Two Flus in one year, when Ive never had one before, how lucky am I???
SO, Ill have natural immunity now, I suppose that's an upside. Going back to bed, see you all later!
Oh and after all my primalizing and such, I crave sweets now that I'm sick. I usually crave veg or fat, but now cookies and PB&Js and cakes and Cinnabon (haven't had in years!) keep dancing in my head... wtf?

Aw, feel better soon. I am glad to hear that it isn't too bad. I have heard mixed "reviews." One woman at my office was out for two weeks after she developed a deep lung infection, and another friend in his early twenties was out of commission for a week at least. However, one of his friends was better within a day. *Shrug*
That is too funny that the swine flu has resurrected old cravings for Cinnabon; what a weird side effect.

I'll be thinking of you when I eat my bacon in the morning.

Get lots of rest. My ex is getting over it but sounds like you need to not tax yourself in any way.
Also, if you like garlic I would mince it and add it to soup or whatever you eat. It seems to really kick my immune system into gear.
Rest and feel better!

Last night I finally took a shower... and couldnt get out. I got dizzy (I am not the dizzy/sensitive type) and had to lay down in the shower for like 10 min before I got the energy to dry off! Then, I took a nap. So sad.
Feeling better today, seem to have more energy. I thought so yesterday too.
Im WILLING myself to get better!
THX for all the wishes PBers. Love this forum!

Real broth - a smidge of sea salt, dash of cayenne. If you've got it - some type of seaweed...if you're game add roasted chile...lots of vitC
Got me over a hangover from hell in a snap years ago. Can't hurt - especially as you are on the upswing...& can stomach some nourishment.
I'm suspicious of vitamins...

You know what makes me feel better when I am sick -- Cranberry Apple tea. Along the lines of Osa007 I also find Ginger, Cayenne and lemon tea picks me up.
Feel better toots!
