    Hi everyone,

I'm looking into buying a fish oil supplement, but (shocker!) when you look online you get a ton of companies touting their capsules as the *only* one that is pure, fresh and healthy. Prices vary from say $6 per 100 (suspicious) to $50 for 30 caplets (yikes).

Does anyone have particular brands or suppliers that they really trust? I honestly don't trust my local GNC or nice-but-not-expert local health food place to steer me in the right direction.

I'm a big fan of Designs for Health. They are an excellent, highly respected supplement provider. My ND authorized me getting an account with them so I can order directly. Their Ultra Marine gelcaps are about $35 for 60 or so...pretty reasonable, although my ND has me on 6 a day. I will have to cut down to save some $$ soon!

  3. Carlsons Cod Liver Oil. I won't lie, it's expensive- $25 for a small bottle. It's not pills though, it's liquid. One of the best things I ever started doing for myself. Also recommended by Dr. Eades in Protein Power.

I buy from these guys: http://www.vitalchoice.com/index.cfm
I believe they have a quality product, and they have quite an interesting newsletter. Their newsletter clued me into the Paloe Diet, which eventually lead to the PB! I also buy their vitamin D, 2000 iu's a pop.

I take Carlson Norwegian Salmon Oil soft gels. FWIW, they have 750mg omega 3 per cap. 360mg EPA and 250mg DHA. I take 4 a day. Unfortunately I have no idea if they are the best or worst thing you can buy, they were what I found first and stuck with it. I've read that direct oil is superior than soft gels but the taste stays with me so long I can't handle it.

    90 capsules for $24.95

They're what I take and are as good as you can get.

If you get them auto-delivered every month I cover the S&H for you.

And if you get the Master Formula delivered every month I include them for free.

    Cheers!
