  1. My local 'Raw Milk' farmer/ supplier emailed me with their concern over HR 2749 (& rightfully so!).

Please review and sign the petition AND pass it on to EVERYONE you know!

In Georgia, where I live, we can only get "pet milk" ... raw milk for humans is illegal ... haaaaa ... yea, my tax dollars at work ... for a while, we belonged to a milk coop that got milk from South Carolina where it is legal - across state lines .. moonshinin' milk !!!!

As readers here know, I think raw milk worship is ridiculous. However, I will defend anyone's right to buy it, or get diseases if they wish, so I sent in the petition.

It's more than about milk, too.

So fellow bloggers, do you think this might be about giant corporate farms that probably already do much of this, and $500 is beer money, putting the screws on those uppity family farms providing better quality food?

    Nah.........

  7. I have a buddy in Eastern WA whom is a dairy farmer. Boy did he get mad at me when he found out (a couple of years back) that I bought Organic Dairy. He blurted out "It's people like you who make it more expense for dairy farmers like me!!!!". Oops, I hit a nerve.

It's cheaper to be a CW farm/ dairy, thus more money in their pockets.

Or your friend could go organic and charge twice the price! The sword cuts both ways.
