Oh, I soooooo wanna try acupuncture. If only all of these wasted dollars going to my Health Insurance every month would include alternative therapies. It used to, now, I can't go to a chiropractor, an ND, a massage therapist, an acupuncturist, etc. (Oh, but I can get 'dicounts' for these - *rolling my eyes*).
Anyway, Good long walk! Try to motivate each other. My hubby tries to get me out of bed, but I have been resisting. I'm naughty :-(
We can do this! (if we just keep saying it, it means we'll eventually, actually DO it right??? ;-)

Sassy:
I hear you about insurance not covering anything alternative. Alternative is all I do: I hate doctors!!
I have cut back on areas in the budget to fit in 1 session of accupuncture a month. There are times when it is hard to justify though.....FINALLY my new heating system is going to be put in. In may be a few days before we are up and running, but I am very excited (and cold). This morning the house was 42 degrees: brrrrr!!
So my workout area is off limits for a few days. I will walk, and do misc moves around the house (lunges, pushups, etc) and make the best of the next few days.

I am sooooo not a Dr. person either. I still have a hard time finding an ND that is worthwhile too. I think I found a clinic that is worthwhile, so I will have to shell out some pocket dollars and go from there.
Oh Brrrrr! I hate having a cold house!
Have a great Wednesday!

Okay, I am freezing!! Construction of the heating system will be through the weekend.....
It is 45 degrees in my house. I am typing with gloves on. We are expecting a cold rain through Sunday. Need to put on some extra layers and stay warm!!
I SHOULD HAVE exercised for warmth, but stayed under the covers this morning: gggrrrrr!!!
This week is pretty much a wash for exercise. Next week NO EXCUSES. I told the hubby we need to get back on track before I start slacking on food too.EATS for WED
2c coffee/1stevia
2 eggs/3oz ground beef
1/4 c walnutsif 8am - 6pm-1 c green tea
steak 4oz-worst steak EVER!!
2 eggs/2 T heavy creamI bought some grass fed steak from grass fed traditions. i get my coconut oil from them. The steaks are HORRIBLE. So tough and flavorless. I wish I didn't spend the $ on them. This was my 3rd attempt with this batch of steaks, and I actually threw the majority of the ones I had left away. What a shame!!!
Made some bacon and eggs this morning, and tonight I am going to make a buffalo meatloaf. MMMMMMM, sounds delish!!

Oh no! I was going to try their grass-fed beef too. I'm just about ready to push 'place order' button on $300 worth of meat from "US Wellness Meats".
Buffalo Meatloaf sounds awesome! I was going to order some ground buffalo, but I'm already ordering 25 lbs of grass-fed ground beef, so I opted to save money and just rely on the beef (US Wellness is having a special on 25 lbs of their ground beef, so I went for it).
Can't wait for the weekend!

TGIF!!!
What a week. I am really hoping this is the end to my lazy days. There are less than 6 weeks unitl Thanksgiving.
I need to get hardcore!!
I have found myself to be a bit tense and blah the past few weeks. I really think exercising is a good mood lifter for me. HOPEFULLY heat will be on tomorrow, and the weight area will be back in session for a new start Monday. My basement is a disaster right now!! They certaintly have made themselves "at home!"THURS EATS:

No heat!? Eek! It was snowing at my house this morning! Hope you're heat's on tomorrow!

Ok, I disappeared from computer using for the weekend. I needed a break from my office.
Stayed on track: no alcohol, or cheats, and daily IF's. I won't bore you with my meals.......
STILL NO HEAT!!! It is taking much longer to convert our system over, and we had a light dusting of snow. So needless to say, our house is cold, and my workout area is still taken over. I did manage to get my treadmill situated, so I can at least use that this week.GOALS FOR THE WEEK
1. carnivore day: 1 or 2 days and/or IF
2. walk daily/lift HEAVY minimum of 2x this week
3. keep carbs below 50g: aim for less than 20g 5 days. Allow 1 pc of fruit this week, and 1 serving of nuts or nut butter this week ONLY!!
4. POSITIVE, POSITIVE, POSITIVE ATTITUDE!!Posted 5 months ago # -
OMG Still no heat?! Brrrrr!
I like US Wellness meat. I think it was well worth the purchase.
That reminds me, I should go order some now....

Sass: how is the neck doing? Any workouts going on this week for you??
Posted 4 months ago # -
Neck is not noticeable unless I stretch it a bit. MUCH better though, thank you for asking!
Just completed my first workout day today! Hiatus was MUCH too long!
Hop back on the bandwagon, even if it is just a walk or some push ups! (Exercising will keep you warm too! ;-)

I started a new journal, because I could not find this one......I have it listed in several places...
So far this week is going well.
Carbs have been no higher than 30g/walking dailing/lifted heavy 2x this week: YEEHA!!!The scale has crept up a bit, so I need to be strict again. I do not want to feel uncomfortable around family holidays!
I know I have slacked a few weeks on the lifting, so I am hoping that I can get back into the groove, and the bf will lowe and the weight will come back off (I am back up to 145lbs again).I have noticed a bit of belly bloat this past week and a half. Going to keep my eye on it, and may need to remove the heavy cream.
What can I use for my eggs though........Posted 4 months ago #
