I lost my head a bit today, but please try and understand.

Got up at 6:00 am. Worked out. Did yard work. Finished preparing the pool for swimming season. Vacuumed the pool (water very cold). Cleaned the BBQ, Got the hot tun ready for the Summer season, Weeded the vegetable garden. When I finally got done I decided to grab a Sam Adams Summer Ale (or 2), and watch a little of the World Cup.

Come on.....Am I really that bad???

Hey...I gotta tell ya. If cavemen knew about beer, you can bet they would of been making it a part of their regular diet! I can just see them cracking open a 6-pack after a bringing down some big prey!

No moderate drinking really isn't that bad if you're eating and exercising healthily. I like wine and Jagermeister. I wouldn't drink beer because the gluten irritates my stomach but the alcohol itself is fine in moderation.

Interestingly enough our gut flora produces a little bit of ethanol every day so it's not a foreign substance. It's probably not a great idea to define "moderation" liberally though.

If you yourself had no problem with drinking a beer then you wouldn't have posted this thread. Why do you care what a bunch of internet strangers think about you enjoying a drink?

I wish Sam Adams was more readily available in Ontario. Their summer ale really is quite wonderful, when I can find it. They also have a pumpkin beer that is to die for. And blueberry? Oh MAN I would be all over that.
The nice part about being a pessimist is that you are constantly being proven right or pleasantly surprised.

I try to limit myself to drinking 1x a month. Im not giving up my once a month drunken silliness.
The pain of discipline or the pain of regret? You choose.

I don't...just having a little fun with fellow followers. Really, wasn't intended to be a "serious" post. Just a little fun.

I didn't know Sam made a blueberry. We have a local brewery here (Bluepoint Brewing Company), that puts out a great Blueberry Ale. I have noticed that you really can only have one or 2 of these until you get a little tired of the taste.
