Macadamiella (aka Nut*lla with macadamia nuts)
This is a recipe I invented yesterday (nice to be on holidays, uh?) and the final result has been stunning. I used it today on omelettes.
300 gr. macadamia nuts (raw, not baked, not salted)
20 gr. unsweetened cocoa powder
60 gr. coconut milk (or cream 15% fat)
20 gr. maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
(No need to add butter, ghee or coconut oil - macadamias are already oily enough ).
1. Make macadamia butter: put macadamia nuts in a meat grinder machine, repeat several times until a evenly smooth paste comes out.
2. Mix in all the other ingredients, I used a fork.
Keep in refrigerator.
Eat it with pancakes, omelettes... anything you would spread Nut*lla onto.
This is my first attempt at "macadamiella", but I am 100% satisfied of the result. So has been my wife, too.
If you experiment with the doses just keep me posted. I think an interesting experiment would be to add 1 or 2 tablespoons of cognac, rum or brandy, for added aromas: I will surely do it next time.
