    Octopus recipes?

    Primal Fuel
I just ordered an octopus from the fish shop. Can anyone recommend good recipes?

I love the way they do it in Greek restaurants, and I am thinking I'll have enough to do some other stuff with it as well.

I love marinated and then grilled baby octopus. I'm half Greek and this is how we always eat it. Huge piles of them. :-) First you blanch them for a minute. Then plunk them directly into a lemon, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper marinade. You can add herbs or spices if you'd like. 30 minutes is long enough. Then grill very quickly over high heat. You want them a little charred on the edges. Charcoal grill is best, but gas is just fine. Serve with lemon wedges. A Greek or Caesar salad goes well.

It sounds like you ordered a big guy. You can use the same method, but blanch, marinate and grill longer.

I think squid is the default for bokkeum but I'm sure octopus would work.

Marinated, sliced and grilled, Galician style ... just what I had for lunch yesterday.

... little salad, olives, capers, tomato and goat cheese (two varieties).

When I was in Zanzibar I had it on a pizza. It was really good too. Take your favorite paleo pizza and bam! Octopus!

Spicy Asian style type of sauce. Stir fry it w/ some veggies and eat w/ napa cabbage or rice if you're still eating that.
    Stir-fried squid (Ojingeo-bokkeum) recipe - Maangchi.com

You can leave the sugar out or use honey instead and obviously just replace squid w/ octopus
