I average about a book a week, but I've been reading GC,BC for months (with others in between). It's awesome. I just find myself needing to take a break every eight pages or so.
I don't remember reading anything about putting on fat from eventually getting used to it. It seems to me that fat is so satiating that it'd almost have to be some kind of experiment to eat that much of it. My advice would be to spend a week or less at lower fat and higher carbs for that whole "leptin reset" thing.
