    The Tea Thread

    Primal Fuel
I want to try a new tea. So I thought I might as well make a thread about it. What tea do you all drink and why?

I'll start: I used to drink rosehip tea for the vit C but too much a day isn't good.

When I was growing up my parents always made a pot of Bushell's in the evening and reheated the rest in the morning. Now that I have no milk and sugar in my tea and Bushell's tastes too bitter.

EDIT: My parents drink Billy tea, not Bushells.

Oh gods, I drink so many, usually for taste and whichever vitamins happen to come with it.
Oolong, Green, white, white cucumber, white/ green/ oolong jasmine blend, earl grey, scottish or Irish breakfast, Tazo Calm, peppermint, ginger, chocolate chili rooibos, tiramisu rooibos, pomegranate black or green... I know I'm forgetting a couple. My husband and I have an entire shelf in the cabinets filled with tea.

White tea. I prefer the company of my own kind.

Oh yes! It's like drinking a bbq...
Started PB late 2008, lost 50 lbs by late 2009. Have been plateaued, but that thing may just be biting the dust: more on that later.

    mmmm, tea.

I am drinking Spring Dragon Longevity Tea tonight before bed.

I had Japanese Matcha the expresso of green teas, and a Japanese Sencha green tea this afternoon, as well as a Pu'erh this morning, which is an aged Chinese black tea.

Pheonix Oolong is my current favorite, sooo delicious. When brewed correctly it has the flavor of a sour plum almost, with a little apricot sweetness. Oolong/Wu Long teas are called "blue teas" because they are a step inbetween green, and black.

Here at home I have a Taiwanese pan fired green tea, which is almost like an Oolong. I like drinking that too, and will probably have some tomorrow morning.

Gyokuro is my favorite Japanese green. It's more potent than Sencha, and has more of a seaweedy taste to it... mmmmm.

My brain is tired that is all.

Yerba mate is kind of like this as well, depending on the kind you buy.

Whole Foods sells an unsmoked yerba that tastes a bit more like like green tea, which I usually combine with some cheap-asian-grocery-store jasmine for my cool summer drink. This makes a good smoothie base as well, along with some virgin coconut oil, coconut milk/cream, and vanilla.

During the cold months, it's usually rooibos chai with a little coconut oil thrown in.
