When you're getting hungry doing physical work, is there some special reason not to eat all the fruit you want??

SPAM is not so bad. This is a temporary situation.

SPAM rocks. You can't be a bacon fan and simultaneously denigrate my beloved SPAM. You even get gelatin with SPAM.

The labeled ingredients in the classic variety of Spam are chopped pork shoulder meat, with ham meat added, salt, water, modified potato starch as a binder, sugar, and sodium nitrite as a preservative. Spam's gelatinous glaze, or aspic, forms from the cooling of meat stock.

And you can make musubi with it:

Who says back fat is a bad thing? Maybe on a hairy guy at the beach, but not on a crab.

So, it sounds like you have a problem with "hunger", that is feeling full and satiety. Which is completely different that needing extra calories. It would be helpful if you gave us an idea of what your diet goals are (to lose weight/fat, maintain, increase your energy level, gain mass, etc) and how you have structured your primal diet (vlc, lc, pb, peat like, JERF, etc).

I sounds like you have a good start, what is stopping you from eating more of what you already are? Otherwise, off the top of my head: organ meats, more eggs (assuming no bad reactions), gelatin, beef roasts.

    Depends on the fruit.

Spam. Seriously? Isn't that the essence of processed meat?

Perhaps. But so is bacon, unless I'm to believe that every bacon fan on this forum is raising their own pigs, then making their own bacon. I wouldn't put SPAM at the bottom of every food pyramid, but if you're mostly eating healthfully raised animals and organic produce, I'm thinking that an occasional can of SPAM won't harm you. As far as protein and fat, which is what the OP is looking for, according to the link above:

A 100-gram (3.5-ounce) serving of original Spam provides 1,300 kJ (310 Calories or kilocalories), 13 grams of protein (26% DV), 3 grams of carbohydrates (1% DV), 27 grams of total fat (41% DV)
It also requires no refrigeration and is portable.

Anyway, given my druthers, I'd eat wild salmon or 95/5 grass fed ground beef. I probably buy SPAM maybe four times per year, bacon even fewer times. I just thought it was an okay food for someone who might have limited fridge space or need to carry something easy when he's working outdoors.

There now don't cause a fuss. I'll have your spam I love it.
I find your lack of bacon disturbing.
