    massaging fat

I've seen somewhere that vigorous massaging can break down capsules of subcutaneous fat... but nowhere can I find where that research may have come from. I confess I'm not a particularly good searcher. Anyone seen a link to the study... Anyone had any sucess trying this to get rid of those last fatty deposits?

No links, but it makes scene to me, message stimulates blood flow and fat has poor blood flow. I think it can's hurt.

    fat has poor blood flow
Could you point me to the research on this? I thought fat cells in general have excellent access to blood (how would we store fat in them otherwise?)

I am listing a few links that I found. It looks like the claim is only for subcutaneous fat or cellulite, depends on which article you read. I still am not convinced.

Looks like you still have to exercise and eat right, plus the massage has to be "energetic."

Massage can also cause the fat cells to rupture; the fat escapes and can be more easily removed through exercising and eating right. This takes place only when the massage therapy is energetic. It is most effective in getting rid of subcutaneous fat; this is the type of fat that you can see outside the body or pinch with your fingers.

I wonder if erotic massage is considered energetic...

I'm picturing those machines that they used to make that would shake a person's midsection violently with a huge belt thing. I think I remember hearing that those contraptions didn't do all that much good. (except for maybe shaking some of the bad food back out of the shakee)

I'm no expert but from what I understand erotic massages main focus point is a part on a mans body that most people prefer "fat." Just a thought, hmm, leads to naked thoughts, excuse me need a moment alone

Just spent a few minutes looking, but I have seen this several places before. Don't know maybe it is CW knowledge from the past, and not entirely correct.

Erotic massage covers a lot of real estate, not just any one particular part of a man's or woman's anatomy. It can be energetic, or I should say can lead to energenic activities but I wouldn't consider it energetnic on it's own.

I know, right? It's been that kind of a day.
