    Not hungry but should eat

    Primal Fuel
Have y'all ever had a problem like this? Basically what is happening, is i get up in the morning, work out, drink a shake. A few hours later I make a full breakfast involving 6 eggs and a breakfast meat like bacon and sausage. Eggs are cooked in the grease and extra butter, and all of it is topped off with cheese. This puts me around 1600-1800 calories. For the rest of the day i'll usually have a cup of coffee around 2pm but am not hungry for the rest of the day. What i'm afraid of is starving my body, and not giving it what it needs but i just don't feel like eating.

Now i'm a 6'4 215lb guy, and typically they say i burn 2400ish calories or more per day. Could this lead to further problems? Should i just try to make my one meal bigger?

I think i figured it out. If you have any suggestions go ahead, i just need to focus on my ratios of fat/protein/carbs more than anything.

You could make it bigger and call it the warrior diet? Don't know to much about it, just that you eat one meal a day(I think) I wouldn't force myself to eat if you're not hungry.
*Glad to see you figured it out
    Calm the f**k down.

I only have 2 meals a day on a regular basis, and I feel fine! Rarely will I have snacks in between either. I much prefer having 2 decent-sized, filling meals compared to the pre-primal days of having 3 meals a day with plenty of snacking, otherwise I would crash and feel like a dead man within hours. 2 meals is much more convenient and satisfying for me. Listen to your body!

I say listen to you body and do what you want. If you are losing weight and do not want to then you obviously need to eat more. You seem to be doing fine though.

The new rule in my life: Eat when hungry, don't eat when not hungry.

I usually put in 2 full meals a day...and 1 snack inbetween. If I were you and I was worried about only putting in 1800 calories at 215lbs then I'd just up my calories in the 1 meal....OR lower my calories for the 1 meal and make 2 meals out of it.

But really, if you are not hungry and everything seems to be going fine with your weight loss (if thats your goal) and body then you are good. Listen to your body, not CW.
The pain of discipline or the pain of regret? You choose.

    Oh look - I made a Journal.

No veggies at all?? Do you think that's advisable? Personally, I would reduce the amount of eggs and meat you're eating, and replace some of it with nonstarchy veggies. Out of curiosity, if you don't mind answering, how is your digestion? I get in trouble if I eat less than a certain amount of raw, nonstarchy veggies each day...

My digestion is great I eat about 1-2 salads a week, which is the pinnacle of my veggie intake unless i go out to eat. Have to say reducing my fat/protein intake in order to raise my carb intake isn't exactly the approach i'm looking for. Today went a little more standard, and i was luckily prepared with a good primal meal at work for when i did get hungry. Also, on the veggie note, i do suppliment just to make up for the potential loss of vitamins.

At your height and weight you could probably add some fruit if you are really worried about it. Start with berries.

When I started this primal adventure, I spent a couple weeks logging my food intake. Every single day, without fail, I naturally came down right at my ideal caloric maximum (2000-2500), simply by eating to satiety. Hell, even sourdough bread and potatoes don't throw me off anymore.

I guess I can't say this is the case for everyone, but given how much more satiating natural foods are (regardless of the macro-nutrients they're composed of), you should be able to let your appetite guide you.

Assuming you have a reasonably healthy body, if you're genuinely not hungry, then...why eat? It makes no sense.
“The whole concept of a macronutrient, like that of a calorie, is determining our language game in such a way that the conversation is not making sense." - Dr. Kurt Harris
