    I wish I knew what all these dishes were, but many of them look so delicious. So if you are in the mood for a little food pron from around the world, here you go:

    Those look excellent. I love peasant food.

    My favorite pair of pictures is the one with the whole iguana on the left, and then the food prepped on the right.

    I wish I knew even remotely what the third one down in the "Grandma's" slide show is. Is that a big pot of grubs?

    And I'd eat that herring, sour cream, and potatoes dish right now if someone knocked on my door with it.

    LOL the Utah picture is a dessert... not funeral potatoes or green jello with carrots.

    Yeah, those potatoes and herring with dill yogurt sauce look delish. I think I'm going to figure out how to make it.

    I hear iguana is actually really good.

    The nice thing to see is that most of these dishes would make really good primal fare, even if they aren't super exactly primal. I mean, if that's the cuisine of home-made cookin' around the world, with a few exceptions (c'mon Utah), you could totally eat that and be healthy.

    I was also really surprised at the spread served in Haiti.

    I've never thought of staffed eggplants as a Turkish dish, but it looks gorgeous. My second runner up is salt fish (if it is salted) with plain boiled potatoes and dill. Used to eat it a lot as a kid. Some really cool entries.
