It was also not as "low impact" for my broken toe as required so now I'm just laying around until I get a boot or some crutches to get around. The pain is astonishing. The impact on my ability to walk, let alone dance is even more astonishing. I literally stretch, move, dance, yoga and invert all day every day. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW The Internet says 6 weeks to heal.
You sure it's simply broken? I've broken a toe (while fighting a 7-year old, if you must know), and it hurt, but not like you're describing. I've had far more painful injuries. I was able to tape it to the adjacent toe and proceed carefully with most of my activities.

I seriously tried editing the video down to like a gif length and the clip I got of a true upright twerk the lyrics (Cypress Hill lol we are woefully behind on our hip hop over here) said something about liking double cheeseburgers which given the state of my rump shaking I am fairly certain was a euphemism.

Please post belly dancing!! Don't pin this on me TQP. I will post something sometime that is appropriate but not twerking. Static pics were sort of fine before, but a video, no.

It's not bent at a weird angle and there is no broken skin or anything. It's just doubled in size and bruised where it struck. Hopefully I didn't damage the joint too- the pain when I point my foot makes me a little worried about that. If I'm not on it it's not too bad, just dull aching. Walking has gotten near impossible- unless I can get all my weight onto the inside ball of my foot- which is a terrible alignment and I'm not going to do that. I hoped taping would lessen the pain but it didn't.

Sorry if I ruined the dance thread with a pic of my bruised broken toe. I've edited out of my last post and would like to make amends by posting this partial twerk photo. This was just me goofing off at home a while back to some Cypress Hill- the lyric that stood out the most was "if you like double cheeseburgers" lol, so perf. I wanted to post this because tonight I was hanging out with some girlfriends and we danced and it was a perfect opportunity to bust out a handstand wall twerk and some booty poppin with my girls. They loved it and we giggled a lot. Dancing is good playtime. Training to be a good dancer is good excercise. They go best hand in hand.

Wow! Yogabare.......what a fab job with the hula hoop. I can't keep one of those up for 5 seconds and you manage to dance sensuously. I am jealous.

Mr Anthony..... amazing!!!! crazy movements, I can't imagine how long it took you to get to do some of those.

What's funny is that I hadn't tried most of those things in the video before I filmed them. My friend had posted a video on my FB of some dude doing a bunch of body weight exercises and was like "Dude, I bet you can't do this stuff!" And I thought most of them seemed pretty easy, so I gave them a shot.

But I can't hula hoop at all. Like, not even a little. I tried the other day and everything. Which is weird, because I was really good at it as a kid. So, go YB.

Let's go, ladies; get some more videos up!

    A handstand pushup . . . . I can only dream. I have only gotten as far as headstands and handstands . . (sigh . . )

Ok, I uploaded my first video EVAR to the youtubes today. No dancing yet but my favorite way to move is upside down. Here is a headstand from earlier.

It's really slow and long and boring- and I forgot to add the music. But anyways, this is what I do in my free time!
