Scott Sonnon - 28 days primal

So I came across this yesterday. Over the years I've seen a bit of Scott Sonnon's work in the martial arts and yoga realms, but it seems he's now found paleo and created his own brand of primal eating and exercise (the exercise may have come before the diet).

His 28 day plan is a free downloadable pdf ebook, available here: http://rmaxi.com/primal-eating-gift/

Other than Sonnon's back story (as a child he struggled with joint issues and a learning disability, then became a vegetarian, all the while becoming a champion in several martial arts and working with the Russian space program and US federal agencies and emergency services in the areas of health and recovery, as well as creating various workout programs including the clubbell), the eating plan seems to cover a fairly standard low-carb paleo template (I've only skimmed through it so far), though he does recommend splitting each meal into 2 (so 6 meals a day) as it's difficult to get all of the required nutrition in 3 meals. I'm not sure if this is just for the 28 days, or if he recommends this as a permanent change.

Here are some snippets of the ebook as a taster and will add further reviews add I work my way through it and maybe some of his other freely available resources.

Disclaimer: I have no relationship with Scott Sonnon or this product and no intention of breaching copyright etc. Hence I've posted the link above if you want to sign up to receive this free ebook. If asked I will happily remove these Screenshots and or link.

I thought a lot of his martial arts claims had turned out to be overinflated or fabricated.

There ya go bursting another bubble!
That may be, I haven't dug into his background, but his stuff looks pretty solid (well except for the systema, that always looks sketchy to me):

Interestingly this Blackbelt magazine does say that he is a " Multi-sport national and international champion", whatever that means. http://www.blackbeltmag.com/daily/ma...ing-clubbells/

I don't hold Black Belt magazine in particularly high regard either, but here's a thread on another forum about Mr. Sonnon that you might find interesting. Scott Sonnon's résumé

Yep, certainly looks like he's, shall we say at least exaggerated some of his achievements. Which is a shame, because things like his training programs look like they could actually be quite good. I've been thinking about looking into Indian clubs and was going to look at his clubbell program. Ah well.

The "science" in his 28 days to primal eating book wasn't crash hot either.
