    New to Paleo

    Primal Fuel
Decided to give this Paleo thing a try. I figured I'd first ask how my diet looks.

    Breakfast

    1/4 cup of almonds
Protein Smoothie w/ 1 cup of berries and 1 scoop of whey protein
Half and half for my coffee

    Lunch

    3 cups of broccoli
    1 tablespoon of olive oil
    5 oz of chicken
    2 eggs

    Dinner

varies every night, but is always lean meat and veggies

    Snack

    4 eggs
    1 tablespoon of olive oil

    Totals

My totals usually equal 2100 - 2500 calories. My fat usually around 150, protein is usually around 150-180, and carbs are usually around 75. I'm 33 years old and weigh 210 with 20% bodyfat. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Looks fine. I'd cut out the nuts and the smoothie and replace it with animal fats, but that's just me.
Disclaimer: I eat 'meat and vegetables' ala Primal, although I don't agree with the carb curve. I like Perfect Health Diet and WAPF Lactofermentation a lot.

I'd worry less about macros and more about creating a sustainable diet within the guidelines.

    Good for a start.

Learn to listen to your body and eat when you're hungry though, and not just because you think you "need" to.

Maybe up the fat a little bit? Either you eat high fat or high carb, eating high protein is never recommended.

The metal in my head clangs and clings as I walk - freaks my balance out. So the natural thought is just clogged up. Totally clogged up. So we need to unplug these dams, and make the the natural flow... It sort of freaks me out. We need to unplug the dams. You cannot stop the natural flow of thought with a cling and a clang..."

Then I would say it is not primal, but whether it is allowed or not is up to you. It could be part of your 20% leeway. Or just stick to oil & vinegar.

BTW, they can provide a book w/ all ingredients for what they use if you ask for it.
