Who did your parents teach you to hate?

    In my case:

    people on welfare
    unintelligent people
    inbred people
    clergy
    teachers
    democrats
    communists
    weak/effeminate men
"Ah, those endless forests, and their horror-haunted gloom! For what eternities have I wandered through them, a timid, hunted creature, starting at the least sound, frightened of my own shadow, keyed-up, ever alert and vigilant, ready on the instant to dash away in mad flight for my life. For I was the prey of all manner of fierce life that dwelt in the forest, and it was in ecstasies of fear that I fled before the hunting monsters."

    Rich people
People who hate other people, ironically enough
People who don't explain themselves. You HAVE to say WHY.
People who instantly react and freak out instead of stopping and thinking
    Hair in my food
    Authority in general

awesome. Was that overt, or more subtle? Like did your parents literally say, often enough: "Rich people...blah blah" or did you just make those connections on your own, based on their other behavior?

My parents didn't teach me to hate anyone.

Life, on the other hand, has taught me to avoid contact with the constant douchebaggery around me.

Seaweed and Ilovesteak: what did your parents do for a living?

My parents were super liberal hippie types in their own weird way and taught me that everyone was equal. Everybody had strengths and weaknesses, and nobody was better than anyone else at all. I actually believed a lot of totally un-Darwinian kind of lies growing up. As far as racial groups and stuff, definitely nobody, so that part of it was good.

mum was a social worker and dad was a polytechnic lecturer. they were south african and they left in the '50s coz they disagreed with the politics. a very different breed to the south africans who come out now due to having the $s to escape. i think that was poss more significant than their professions.
