Definitely had a bulleted power-point presentation about exactly that at the last Bilderberg Council. Also, they were very obviously told, "popularize the term lockdown.." You can see the agenda on tv news
"Ah, those endless forests, and their horror-haunted gloom! For what eternities have I wandered through them, a timid, hunted creature, starting at the least sound, frightened of my own shadow, keyed-up, ever alert and vigilant, ready on the instant to dash away in mad flight for my life. For I was the prey of all manner of fierce life that dwelt in the forest, and it was in ecstasies of fear that I fled before the hunting monsters."

Yep, there is always a new one floating around. When I was working in Yemen it was the bird flu. When you got off the plane, temperature was taken and if you looked sick, you were examined further.

Then when I was working in Egypt, it was the swine flu. Same thing. That one pissed me off because the Egyptian government used it as an excuse to kill off all of the pigs that the Coptic Christians had raised, there went my pork supply!

    I definitely hear you.

I explain to people all the time that if they listened to/watched less or NO news, then they would be much more at ease and happy with their lives. They'd be able to see a lot more right in front of them, too.

It doesn't mean being "ignorant" or "uniformed." It just means taking away that one avenue that causes so much needless stress.

I think I have a cracked rib from our full moon fighting. Last night, a dozen local guys thought that was something terrifying that they would want to avoid at all costs. Today we are laughing about it.

I regularly have mom-mares about my daughter being kidnapped, raped, hurt and killed. I do not want to ever have to live though it in real life. I walk her to school when I have a day off and we do plenty of other activities. I understand the sentiment about people overprotecting their kids, but when I was growing up I was just as afraid being outdoors after dark, as I am now. I walk to work before light, and I still have to talk myself through my fears every time I see someone 'suspicious'. Going to martial arts classes lately intensified my fears, instead for relieving them, because I am now even more aware of how weak, pathetic and clumsy I am and how little chance I stand to defend myself or my daughter if confronted by a violent person bent on doing harm.

BTW, I rarely watch TV/read news.
