Should i train today? Think it would be a negative?
Im meant to be training in the gym tonight 8pm.
But im trying to gain weight and put on muscle - im 6ft 3 and strong but I still look skinny.
Yesterday I was hungover and barely ate a thing, today I havent eaten much at all and its 1pm already.
I could eat a big lunch at 2pm and a dinner at 6pm but I cant help but feel like I would end up losing muscle rather than gaining if I trained today - because I never ate yesterday and have barely eaten so far today.
Whats your thoughts?
I think you're asking the wrong question, it seems more relevant to ask why you didn't eat yesterday and today.
Train, and then eat a good dinner...? I wouldn't recommend eating 2 hours prior to training.
Then tomorrow make sure you eat enough. Calories in a week matter more than calories in a day.
Train (and eat) everyday if you truly want to be big.
You're either feeling it or you aren't. The one thing I would bring up is your immune system may be weakened due to the drinking. If you throw a hard workout on top of that, you may further suppress it leading to illness.
You don't lose or gain muscle that quickly, it takes time and effort for the body to make muscle so it doesn't give it up because of one or two days bad dieting.
Swig down a protein drink and hit the gym like a man on a mission !
Have a beer then go lift.... hair of the dog and I hear it works for powerlifters.
Sorry, bad NH, bad advice (but with a modicum of truth )
If your aren't hungry, maybe just have some soup broth or something light and hit the sack early. As themike said, your immune function might be lowered and this is your body trying to tell you to take it easy because you are on the verge of getting sick. You don't have to train every day, listen to your body. I definitely wouldn't hit it hard, you could end up over stressing yourself, or injuring yourself, perhaps you could just go for a walk to get the blood moving and then call it a night. Good luck on whatever you decide to do!
Hey, i agree. A shot of gin always makes for a good training session.
