I believe that the inflammation caused by the SAD is that iceburg.
I'm totally stealing that analogy. Nice job.

    DC?

How I wish I could get my parents off statins! Their cholesterols are only borderline high and they are 75yo, but they are terrified of heart attacks.

All cause mortality is lowest with a total cholesterol of 220. So lowering it doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Also data showing the statin help people who have not had a previous heart attack is very unconvincing. I don't think I could be convinced to take statins for prevention under very many circumstances.

My dad has had a heart attack and a couple of strokes. He is on statins and I don't really have a major objection in that case.
Using low lectin/nightshade free primal to control autoimmune arthritis. (And lost 50 lbs along the way )

I feel your pain, Laura. My mom is the same way. I've tried to change her mind, but she thinks her doctor knows best.

I would like to see your HDL higher than your trigs, you might want to give up the juicing and just eat.
Only take statins if you have shares in big pharma
Eating primal is not a diet, it is a way of life.

Oh and over 70% of people admitted with CVD had low to normal cholesterol levels.
