Are vegetables necessary for a healthy body?

    Why or why not?

No. You can get the same macro- and micro- and phytonutrients from other sources. They aren't all exclusive to vegetables. Fruit, organ meats, and bivalves are superior and more efficient, IMO.

    I agree.

They can play an important role for individual circumstances though. Just one for instance is volume eaters who need to lose weight.

    Depends on your body.
    -How healthy are you already?
-What is the purpose of the way you currently live/eat (weightloss, strength, recovery...etc)?
    -What is your large-intestine length?
-Are you happy to eat other things for the lost nutrients?

    Or, better yet:
-Are you healthy when you omit vegetables? Do you FEEL fit, energized and happy? Do you work-out efficiently and well and recover naturally at a good pace? Is your immune-system strong and well?

It's all individual. In theory, everything in vegetables can be found elsewhere. In practice, not everyone can use these other sources healthily or can omit vegetables and feel well. If you're curious: try getting rid of them and find out how you do.

Perfection is entirely individual. Any philosophy or pursuit that encourages individuality has merit in that it frees people. Any that encourages shackles only has merit in that it shows you how wrong and desperate the human mind can get in its pursuit of truth.

The most important thing with vegetables is that they help balancing out all the acids from meat and protein foods...
Being just an old fashioned guy myself; I’m beyond tired of all these fragile mama boys (and girls!) with powder in their gluteus and soft pillows under their arm pits that cannot recover from their 3 days a week abbreviated “strength” routine…

If you are asking if you can live off just meat and milk, the answer is no....can you be fine with fruit and fish as subs, yes.

I was going to say this. They aren't necessary, but some plant foods are delicious. Vegetables with a ton of butter, coffee (with a ton of butter), red wine, tea, yerba mate, avocado... Eat plants when you feel like it but don't feel like you have to if you don't feel like it.
