    Amazon also has a good deal for green can right now too, though their prices for that one seem to change constantly.

    Gelatin is definitely pretty cheap for a good protein source. Peat food choices in general seem to be a lot more cost effective across the board, which is great. It's nice to see some nutritional guidelines that aren't so expensive for a change. So many of the nutritional guidelines I've looked over lately make it seem like you might be better off just cutting out the middle man and eating raw hundred dollar bill salads all day.

    Knife, I have to say food cost and sort of feeling like not eating as much meat and reading how good the Peaters feel were my motivators. I have 2 tbl gelatin in each of my 2 cups of coffee every morning with a big glass of oj. Close to the equivalent of 4 eggs. Bone broth, cottage cheese or eggs and grapes for lunch and meat and veggies or fruit for dinner. Smoked oysters or clams a few times a week.I feel great eating this way. Not totally peaty, but everyone seems to do their own version. Lots more money in my checking account is the icing on the cake.

    Cottage cheese tastes really good melted in an omelette.

    When I was eating CW healthy I made this "calzone" thing that was an omelette with 1 egg + 1/2cup egg white + Italian seasoning, tomato sauce, part skim mozzarella, cottage cheese, basil leaves and other pizza-y toppings on the inside of omelette. I've been adding some gelatin to my scrambled eggs so if I were to remake that calzone omelette I would totally add it to the egg mixture
    i will try this as i love cheese omlettes of all kinds. i have used feta so this could work in a similar way.

    What did you Peat today?



    Pumpkin spice flan (eggs, gelatin, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, pumpkin purée) topped with "cream cheese" icing(reminded by moluv that I used to make cream cheese outta 1% cottage cheese... So did that today)
