Alrighty... so dinner was a Mahi Mahi filet/steak and a salad Delicious!
Also had about 1/4 of a small seedless watermelon for dessert and MAN was that good. MM MM
It's a bit more fruit than I should be eating though. I had about 2 handfuls of grapes earlier in the day too.
My body will only lose if I stay pretty low carb which BLOWS lol.
I have to treat this like when I was pregnant. I had to stay pretty low carb to keep my sugar levels in the normal range. I think I was eating around 50 or below then. And even then I ended up having to take something in the morning b/c my fasting level when I woke was slightly higher. SIGH! Sucked balls but it worked and my daughter is healthy
AND after all of the swelling went down, I was about 3lbs below my pre-preg weight. Too bad I screwed it up by eating junk food. Yes, I'm going to kick myself in the butt every time I remind myself that.
I've already told my husband, whenever we get pregnant again, DO NOT let me binge on junk after having the baby. Maybe indulge once or twice, but that's it! I want to be a healthy momma and wife!
Anywho... Oh I'm going to be juicing as well. Bought a juicer last week and I did a 4 day juice fast. Lost 6lbs but I didn't like the no eating aspect of it LOL. I don't mind fasting short term, one or 2 meals, maybe even a day, but longer than that.. no.. just no.
Juicing did make me appreciate healthy food a lot more and really made me realize that I'm not getting nearly the amount of nutrients that I should be. SO, I'll be juicing. Going to try to keep it mostly green juices (lots of veggies) with a few fruity ones every once in a while.
My fav juice so far is def a fruity one.
2 granny smith
1-2 cups grapes
5 kale leaves
1/4 lemon peeled
DELICIOUS! You can replace the grapes with an orange. Or the kale with spinach. I prefer the grapes and kale. Kale b/c while it does have a grassy flavor, I dunno, I kinda like it lol. And grapes b/c it makes it VERY sweet. An orange instead is good as well, but will be a bit more tart.
