What are some of you guys' favorite cheap cuts from the butcher shop?
I have found a way to get grassfed beef for cheap recently... Neck bones have a ton of meat on them and are perfect for making bone broth with floating bits of fatty, gelatinous beef. I ask the butcher to cut it into small pieces and it is $2.99 for a lb in NYC, which is good for ny prices for meat.
HCLF: lean red meat, eggs, low-fat dairy, bone broth/gelatin, fruits, seafood, liver, small amount of starch (oatmeal, white rice, potatoes, carrots), small amount of saturated fat (butter/ghee/coconut/dark chocolate/cheese).
