    Protein Shakes And Dodgy Belly

    Shop Now
I'm looking for a protein shake that doesn't give me a dodgy stomach. In the past I've found protein shakes make me get an urgent need for the toilet. It's either start wearing a nappy or find one that works. Anyone use this one:

Nate Green reccomends it so I'm assuming it's good. Getting Marks one isn't possible due to shipping issues so this one on Amazon may be a goer

That is full of a lot of sketchy ingredients.

What do you usually put in your shakes? Are they usually whey based?

They're whey yes. Usually have them with milk, which is maybe where I'm going wrong!

Well, one way to find out! Try just water, if you still have some powder, and then you can always sub milk for some not-cow's milk and see how that goes. Maybe goat if you have access? Otherwise coconut, almond, rice....

    Some interesting ingredients :

Sunflower and / or Safflower Oil,
    Canola Oil
    Maltodextrin,
    Resistant Maltodextrin,
    Fructose,
    Natural and Artificial Flavourings,
    Cytovite,
    Acesulfame Potassium,
    Sucralose,
Soy Lecithin ( thought this would a be very small amount).

And that's only SOME of the ingredients.

Nice and toxic fillers to make the product bigger and cheaper - might explain the urgent toilet visit.

    And only 46% protein

How about a real protein powder that has only two ingredients :
    -whey protein concentrate,
    -tiny bit of lecithin

You can add some natural flavours if you want - eg honey and berries

    81%+ protien

Protein powder is a scam and complete waste of money.

I recommend Peanut Brittle Protein Shake, this is a delicious favorite I discovered quite by accident as I sat staring at my "boring" vanilla protein powder and wanting something sweet. This mimics peanut brittle only in taste. It won't send your blood sugar soaring and it's a fun way to get in some healthy unsaturated fat.
