Primal Journey to health - Glass0wl
Well following my blood results yesterday and the need to watch what I eat I thought I would start this journal.
So first off my starting stats
Height: 5 foot 1 inch
Weight: 121 lbs
Total cholesterol : 6.9
Triglycerides : 0.73
Cholesterol / HDL ratio : 3.1
Calculated risk 9.95%
I have over the last 8 months lost 30 lbs, changed from a total sedentary office life to a retired active / exercise life. Should have started this journal earlier as I think it would have been more interesting.
B: avocado, crab, salad
D: redbush with almond milk.
Supper: pâté and salad with a banana/strawberry treat.
As for lunch hmm not sure it's a meal out, I am spending the day at our local country fair, walking round all the exhibits, craft tents, watching the show jumping, best sheep, best cow, ferret racing. Of course I will spend time in the food tent and will get some food for lunch and snacks.
No normal walk today, I will be walking into town and back with my backpack and then around and around the showground; be interesting to see how far I do walk.
As previously mentioned lipids are very good .......but anyway ......

Not sure where they get their figures from, will have to check that out but over 20% and doctors get worried apparently. It has an age element, genetic predisposition as well so me only getting 9% I can't be all that bad
Ok so I didn't derail myself yesterday, thought I may the mood I was in.
Gorgeous hot day, maybe too hot for walking, started walking at 10am and got home at 4 pm, didn't stop during the day.
Boar sausage in a bun - threw bun away
Organic beef burger in bun - you guessed threw bun away
Strawberries and clotted cream - well I am at the heart of clotted cream tea country
Then I derailed a tad
One white chocolate magnum
Two half pints of pear cider
Today is a new day and I intend to behave
Breakfast: dry cured organic back bacon ( bought it yesterday from one of the stands at the fair ) mushrooms and tomatoes cooked in the bacon juices
Lunch: chicken stuffed with cheese and herbs, roast aubergine and some spinach
Treat: banana and strawberry frozen pot
Supper: avocado and crab salad
Treat: banana and kiwi and lime frozen pot with a tab spoon of home made yogurt
Water and fruit teas
Got to get the redecoration of the dining room finished today and start the quilt for the shop
Been busily renovating the dining room got the shelving outside drying from their coat of oil and praying it doesn't rain right now.
Walk: 6 km
Breakfast: avocado, smoked salmon and tomatoes and cucumber
Lunch: pork casserole cooked in apple onion, garlic, courgette, sage and cider, cabbage, frozen fruit pot
Supper: salami and a salad, fruit pot
Busy day finishing the dining room, nearly there another day to go
No walk today it's Saturday
Breakfast: bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms
Lunch: gammon with home made applesauce with French beans and carrots and cabbage strawberries and tab spoon of yogurt
Supper: pepperoni, salad, melon and fruit pot
Fruit teas, half pint of cider
Oops missed a day
Dining room now finished so we can start eating in there yay!!!!
Had lunch out today to celebrate, local pig it restaurant does the most wonderful chicken and bacon salad and they let me have a small bowl of olive oil instead of dressing, was so gorgeous had to fight the wasps for it.
Did follow it with an ice cream but hey doesn't happen every day, think that was my 20%
Breakfast: bacon tomatoes and mushrooms
Lunch : chicken and bacon salad followed by ice cream
Supper ham an spinach with fresh mayonnaise
Did have a couple of small glasses of cider as well
Back to walking tomorrow
Weather today was wonderful. Had a 5.5 k walk first thing down wet rot lane
Breakfast avocado, salmon and salad
Lunch duck burger and roasted baby veg
Supper home made meatloaf with roasted butternut squash
Treats two fruit pots and a banana
