Side note: I actually dislike crispy bacon. I prefer it chewy if I have it at all.
This. Frying bacon is for amateurs that want poor texture, shriveled up pieces and oil burns. Once you bake bacon, you never fry again!

Baking it is the best. My boyfriend fries it and gets unpredictable results.

    Yes, exactly!
I had one awesome batch once and can't repeat it. It's either burnt or soft, lol!

Ive found that using something to weigh the bacon down works well, just leave it alone for a while. I used to use a solid steel potato masher, worked a treat and makes a use out old kitchen equipment.

I have done all methods. Broiling, baking and frying. But for me frying has the best taste adding a little coconut oil or ghee. I have it every day, even as a child. I cook it low enough that it doesn't spit much. On a back slice I cut slices in it so it lies flat.

I've been pan frying bacon for 30 years and started baking it in the oven about a year ago. No turning back! I love using the oven. I get especially good results using the convection setting.

Buy a cast iron bacon press. Keeps it flat and cooked even
I find your lack of bacon disturbing.
