My Trader Joes Run what a nice score
I found grass fed steaks YAY! For a while I've been shopping at TJ's and I was grateful for the ground beef but needed steaks. These babies weren't cheap at $11 but pretty good. Lamb which I plan to cut into steaks, New Zealand of course. Grass fed butter for my coffee. I also got some other staples and these pastured eggs that while fed some grain, I prefer to omega 3 eggs as they are fed flax, not good.
Thought this would be good for people who say they can't find grass fed beef at TJ's. they all say 100% grass fed I take that to mean they're finished on it as well.
The steaks were an amazing find because I never venture to the frozen food section thinking the area with the ground beef is all they have. If that was your issue, venture out and explore.
Tried to upload image, not working,

Ah, cool, thanks. New to all this.
We all were new at this at one time. Except maybe Derp.

Thanks for the advice. The steaks are quite lean and I accidentally "undercooked" one and it was perfect, lol. I normally eat my steaks rare anyway. I broil them on the top rack for 8 minutes. I just bought a new range and it was just sitting there in a cold oven for a while. I pulled it out too early and let it rest. Sliced it and it was so tender and awesome perfectly pink in the center.
The fat was really chalky though. I had some gristle I bit into and it was weirdly textured. Is that just the grass fed effect? I trimmed the rest off and threw it in a put with some lamb fat to make tallow.
