I don't think so. Eating fruit will help replenish glycogen after anabolic effort but you don't need much for that. So long as you are insulin sensitive, proportions of calories from fat and carbohydrates make no difference to fat loss
Four years Primal with influences from Jaminet & Shanahan and a focus on being anti-inflammatory. Using Primal to treat CVD and prevent stents from blocking free of drugs.

Eat creatures nose-to-tail (animal, fowl, fish, crustacea, molluscs), a large variety of vegetables (raw, cooked and fermented, including safe starches), dairy (cheese & yoghurt), occasional fruit, cocoa, turmeric & red wine

It makes a bit of difference as carbs have a higher thermal effect than fats.

This mango season i must have put down something like 10 dozen mangos. Pretty much alfonsos from India.
Nothing comes close to the experience of relishing a ripe alfonso.
    Few but ripe.

Not at all... lol. Seriously, until people start blabbering about thermic effect and other perceived positive effects I like to keep it civil. But man is it hard sometimes. Hey if "I" were the OP I would cut that fruit out and watch my body drop fat like a bad habit. Thats how my body works. It really is completely effortless weight loss if I cut the carbs. That simple. I was just trying to play nice. I never counted calories but about 18 months ago I did add about 30-50g of carbs/day to stop my weight loss cause I was getting more lean than I wanted at the time.

So to OP actually I would eat a sweet potato or two to fuel your workouts. You should probably lean toward a bit more glucose for better efficiency in muscle glycogen repletion. But if your goal is strictly fat loss, and not performance based, ditch the crossfit...do strength training 2x/week, walk a lot, and eat low carb (I would recommend 1-2 pieces fruit and 1-2 sweet potato/day) with sufficient protein (1g/lb of lean mass).... thats my advice and its congruent with the PB if that happens to be what your following.

Disclaimer: The above is what worked for me and is congruent with the PB. I understand that counting calories, eating fruit and lots of carbs, or chopping off an extremity may also result in weight loss. So yes there are other ways, this is just the way that I prefer as you eat in a manner consistent with ancestral/traditional nutrition.

nobody is saying that fruit isn't primal, but eating mountains of it isn't recommended as a fat-loss technique in the pb either.
As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.
