    Inches is a tracking tool to indicate that you are losing fat/gaining muscle. Normally, inches lost at the waist while gained at bicep,calf and/or neck indicate fat loss while gaining muscle. Hip/thighs can go either way if you are bulking up easily. What you are doing targeting more of a fat loss while keeping muscular size relatively stable with a potential small increase. Because you are just starting out, muscular increase might be possible while losing fat. Further down the road it takes a lot more trying and hugely depends on the individual physiology/genetic predisposition (f.ex some lucky folks build muscle from running, but most don't).

    My plan is to continue with my 4 day workout increasing speed/reps as neck hammer suggested and trying to do the lunges etc instead of weights on my heavy workout days with the elliptical sprints. I am hoping this will help in building muscle while losing fat % overall. Anyway, I am happy just moving
