Cocoa Butter Nutrition???
I have been loving my coconut oil, but while I was out in the sun the other day I remembered how much I used to love putting Cocoa Butter on my skin. It felt like being dessert
I found some on Amazon at a reasonable price http://www.amazon.com/RAW-Cocoa-Butt.../dp/B000W0A78S
and was going to buy it for sunning and massage---but does anyone have any experience eating it? Seems like it would be a great compliment to coconut oil for snacky things, since it melts at a little higher temperature.
Haven't been able to find out too much about its value in the diet, though. Somebody here has to be an expert---I just know it
*watches with interest*
I've tried a nibble, but the taste wasn't all that. Mine's from a cosmetic shop, niot a food shop though. And I find it a lot more solid than CO. Perhaps melted in place of butter in "replacement" baking recipes? Batty's blue balls?
Yeah, that's the kind of thing I was thinking of. I love chocolate, but I never eat it because even the high % kind has a bunch of carbs (and I feel like I need to save those for veggies). When my check comes next week, I'll probably order a jar of the food-grade kind from Amazon, and play around with it. At the very least, it will make a wicked massage oil
Shhhhh, don't tell Beefy......

Mostly stearic and palmatic acid. I would stay with coconut but throwing some cocoa butter won't kill you. Try it and see.
