    Favourite fat sources

    Hey folks

I was just wondering if any if you had favourite fat sources (while foods, to cook with etc). How do you use it, when, why etc?

Kerrygold butter. I think it is absolutely delicious. I usually cook eggs in it and put it on vegetables.

(I also can't help but eat some by itself)

I had some leftover pot roast today, and I put a slab of Kerrygold on it for hydration... At least that's how I rationalized it!
    I got 99 problems but a pancake ain't one...

I do that too! Wouldn't want anything to get dry on reheat

coconut oil - add to my coffee and blend. Makes it taste great, keeps me full all morning.
bacon & eggs. Just cause they are pure awesome.
butter - put on or cook with for veggies & steak.

The only oils I cook with are coconut oil, pastured butter/ghee and occasionally virgin cocoa butter. I'm unopposed to extra virgin olive oil from California, but I prefer the others much more so I rarely use it to cook.

Most of my fat comes from dairy and incidental fats from meats (heavily beef with some lamb and chicken mixed in, occasional fish and pork but leaner varieties). Chocolate and coconut are my other contributors. I eat a diet higher in carbs than fats, but the fat ratio I have is high SFA/low PUFA.

    Haha fantastic .... And true.

It looks like I now have fats to try list' . I live coconut milk. Mix half a can with water and a couple spoonfulls of peanut butter and you've got a yummy fat shake.
