Why is almond butter cheaper in the Midwest than in California where almonds are grown?

    erm...

    supply and demand and stuff.
As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.

Yeah, the only reason we don't have any almond butter in my town is the demand side went into a panic after a brief shortage. Now people are behaving totally irrational about stupid almond butter.

Whole almonds and almond meal are out of control in my area ($15-20/lb). Branded snacks are the same as ever somehow.
