"Best" carbs - sweet potato? Really?

Seriously, nothing is better? Sweet potatoes or rice?

I'm not having enough carbs and with the gym I'm exhausted.

Any potato, butternut squash, any winter squash, bananas, white rice. Sweet potatoes are easiest.

I've been doing rice and potatoes with the occasional bit of corn thrown in. I like sweet potatoes but not all the time.

I have been wondering how to tell if corn tortillas are nixtamilized...

I like white potatoes, especially when I can find organic and don't have to peel them. Not a bad nutrition profile. Taste yummy with butter on them (and garlic and cream and salt - oh my!). No reason to limit the things you like in the plant kingdom if they give you pleasure. Unless they make you binge. But potatoes don't make me even consider bingeing like something like the sweetness of a banana might. Yams I'm not that fond of - might be the result of the Thanksgiving "casseroles" of yams and marshmallows - eeyuk, even before primal.

Eat, baby, it's good for you.

Um white potatoes? Rice is very starch dense, are you eating a tablespoon or something?

Bananas, grapes, any high sugar fruits.

Who said they're best? I think they're wrong. Eat what you like. Personally, I find white potatoes superior and they are actually just as nutritious in comparison, and more in some ways. Also like fruit, maple syrup, dairy, honey, sugar, dried fruit, tapioca, and white rice more than sweet potatoes.

White potatoes, white sweet potatoes, yucca and all sorts of exotic tubers, rice noodles, some of which cook up exactly like spaghetti...
